Sorry to be creating 2 posts today about one-x mobile but I think they are separate problems so best to separate them.

This is a problem with the one-x mobile client application. I have just bought a Samsung Omnia i900. I know that is not listed on the Avaya website as a compatible phone but it is Windows Mobile 6.1 and I thought I'd give it a try. The GUI doesn't look perfect (it doesn't fill the screen and leaves a bunch of squiggly lines below the dialer) but I can live with that as it works fine for outgoing calls. The problem arises when I receive calls. I have the phone set to "ring and vibrate" but when one-x client is installed the phone won't vibrate on the "ring & vibrate" setting. The only way to have it vibrate is to put the phone on silent. This is not the case when I uninstall the one-x client.
Also, every time I install or unistall one-x there is an error with cprog.exe (which is the windows mobile dialer application). I wonder if the two issues are connected.

Is it possible to a)disable cprog.exe, b)replace cprog.exe with the one-x client c)use one-x for outgoing calls but keep default cprog.exe for incoming calls or d)use the default Samsung dialer application but still have one-x mobile functionality?

The screen resolution from the omnia is higher, WM6.1 is not the problem, i'm running one-x on my HTC TyTN II (WM6.1 Kaiser.

The Omnia is only 240x400, lower than quite a few smartphones. However, the display (although being smaller and more fiddly than the Samsung dialer or windows mobile native dialer) is not really a problem for me.

The main problem is that it won't ring and vibrate while one-x is installed.

I disabled the Samsung dialer from the registry and so I don't get the cprog.exe error any more. However it still won't vibrate and ring when the one-x client is installed. Any ideas why or if there are any registry tweaks I can perform to make it work.

Is there any possiblity to have the one-x software as an alternative dialer that I have to load as a program rather than as a replacement for the default dialer? That way when I receive calls they will use the default phone program and can therefore ring and vibrate.

I guess there may not be a way around this.

I've also noticed another problem. When I answer twinned calls on my mobile or transfer twinned calls from deskphone to mobile the volume is too quiet, I can hardly hear. I don't know if this is something to do with the mobile phone or with the PBX.

Ideally I'd like to be able to use the standard Samsung (or windows) dialer most of the time and only use the one-x client for twinned calls (but do something to improve the sound volume). I'm guessing this may be too much to ask for.

An alternative may be the one-x speech system. This would make the one-x mobile client less necessary. However I can't find any information as to whether this is available for IP office. Anyone know?
