If anybody is working in this type of environment I would love to hear about how it's working. This is for a shop that it migrating from World. I want to know about the interface process and extensions for Gentran.
Thanks,
Peter

We have Gentran Windows NT 4.0 and JDE OW XE. I've used the JDE extensions with good results. I initially created the maps using the JDE flatfile extract, but plan to replace some of the outbound maps with GENTRAN ODBC maps to improve EDI processing automation (ie fix/filter the data before it fails in the translator). ODBC is also allowing us to provide extensive data requirements to certain customers from tables that our outside system 47.

I have done a few Gentran:Server to JDE One World integrations. I would agree the fastest way would be to use ODBC mapping and write data directly to the F47XXX tables and read data from the F47XXX for the outbound transactions.
