Hi there,
I am working on an option 11c/cs1000. It Has 3 cabinets that are chasis style and 1 cabinet that is an option 11 cabinet. Software is 4.5. Cabinets are connected through fibre. Each cabinet has a ssc card in it instead of a fibre receiver card in it that the fibre connects to.
The problem reported is: while users are on the phone, (was given 5 extensions - not sure if it's happening to all) and all of the sudden there is one way transmission. ie - Callers can hear them but they cannot hear the caller.
The phones that I was given are all 3904 sets. There are no IP sets on the system. So I figured maybe its related to the firmware. And I know that 3900 series phones can be quirky if they don't have the firmware updated etc. So I checked the firmware of the switch. It's at 89. Checked the phones and they are also at firmware version 89. So the phones didn't need it because they were at the same level as the switch but I performed a firmware download to the phones given anyway in hopes that this will solve the issue. However, Im not very optomistic.
Pri's look ok. No slips. Nothing in the history log looks unusual as far as I can tell.
Any suggestions as to what this might be? I was told that maybe it might be the tmdi's? and to down them and then when upping them, then do a force download to the tmdi? Failing that I was told it's probably the telco. Which the customer has already reported but said there was no trouble of course! lol.
Suggestions?
Thank you in advance
Greg.
