We are using IP Comm. softphone but getting one way transmission

Softphone to IPT handset - failing
IPT handset to Softphone -ok

We are using a VPN client

Any ideas

thanks

make sure you are registering the MAC of the physical network device, not the VPN's virtual address.

One way voice is always a gateway issue. make sure your firewall or your conetrator is not blocking the inbound voice traffic.

Thanks, we resolved the issue but have another

I can not dial more then 4 digits, If I use an IP Communicator on our LAN with the same CSS, Profile etc it`s ok - it i snothing to do with CSS as we use a common pattern

thanks

Your issue is resolved, but I think it worth noting for others that visit this thread, that it is common to have one-way audio problems with IP communicator and older or non-cisco VPN clients that don't mimic an additional network adapter. In this scenario, you have to run the IP Communicator admin tool on the CM Publisher and update the paramaters for the IPC device to reflect the location of the getip.asp which is installed as part of the IPC admin tool.
