One way speech and transmission with MGC upgrade

Hello folks,

I will first say thanks for all your help in the past, I appreciate them.

Recently We upgraded the PABX to MCG cards with release 5 software and ever since we are intermittently experiencing issues with one way transmission on external calls where the other party cannot hear us sometimes. We use both digital and IP phones

All manner IP loadware and patches to Sig server, PABX and IP phones. MGC routing card has been swapped out a few times.

The IP ones are ok but the Digital sets have regular call connection and quality issues.

Any ideas will help

that's backward, usually the ip phones have problems and the tdm work... are you on a fugi switch?.. i can't see tdm doing one way "part" of the time... i would have to duplicate the problem and trac the station... as you can tell, there is not a default answer or an easy fix...

Make sure that everything is in the same zone. I've had two of these upgrades come up with phones in one zone and MGC cards in another zone.

Switch in use is Catalyst 3500 series XL.

A few people mentioned the same about TDM normally ok; my case seems to be unusual.
It was working fine with no issues prior to the hardware and software upgrades.

We are replacing the main cabinet...cause a Nortel engineer thinks there are some bent connector pins.

As an escalation point, Nortel have no clue after 1 month of constant issues.
