If I add an appointment in Outlook, it wirelessly adds it to the handheld, however, if I add an appointment to the handheld, it does not show up in Outlook.

I have downloaded and registered the latest version of CDO.dll on both the Exchange Server and the BES server.

I reset the handhelds and restarted the services, the problem persists.

I reset the handheld, made no difference.

Everything that I have read so far points to the cdo.dll, but it is version 6.5.6980.3 on both servers.

Both servers are running Windows 2003 SP1. The Exchange server is 2003 SP1. I'm running BES 4.0.1.

Please assist if you can!

Thanks

make sure you are running the correct version of os on the handheld, it may be a permissions issue. check bes, and exchange user permissions.

I have seen the same problem on Verizon BB's. You may have to go into the Desktop Manager > Configure PIM > Highlight Calendar. Then go to Choose, highlight MS Outlook. Make sure Operation is Synchronize. Then click Browse and add the Mailbox - USER\Calendar. If you there is a entry there already, delete it and re-add it.

In the future everything will work...

I'm having a similar problem. I have a BES server for 6 blackberry users.... it is vesion 3.6 on a Windows 2000 Server. Over the weekend we setup a brand new Exchange server and migrated from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003. Since then we've had a problem with the wireless calendar. You can post a calendar item on outlook and it shows up on the blackberry but it will not go from the blackberry to outlook. We have Outlook 2000 through citrix. I tried restarting the blackberry services, switching the calendar on the dekstop software from wireless to outlook back to wireless and also tried resetting the blackberrys. Still no luck. I will look at permissions now.

My problem turned out to be the Exchange permissions for the BES account.

Hi Keithmyers, Could you shed some more light over the issue - Which Permissions did you change?I'm having my users complain endlessly that they can only sync from outlook->HH and not HH->outlook.I to have checked the CDO.dll and thats the same on both servers.

The Blackberry service account needs the following permissions:

-Log on locally with local permissions
-Log on as a service
-Local administrator
-Exchange View Only Administrator
-Exchange Administer Information Store, Send as and receive as.
