One-way audio when SIP calls get transferred from Mitel 3300 to Nupoint server

Most of our phone calls come in on a PRI and function properly, but we have one Skype Connect number (9 SIP channels) that has issues. We are having trouble when people call in on the Skype Connect number and are transferred to voicemail. They can call in and talk to people and be transferred to other people with no problems, but when they get transferred to Nupoint there is only one-way audio. The caller can hear the greeting but a couple of seconds after the “beep” the call is ended. I then get a voicemail that is a second or so long with no audio. We’re guessing the problem is when the Mitel 3300 tries to transfer the call to the Nupoint server. Has anyone successfully set up Skype Connect or something similar?

Only thing I can think of is checking your Nupoint media services and make sure its set to variable packet rate instead of fixed packet rate. I had issues with SIP trunks getting transferred to voice mail as well and that corrected my issue. Your problem doesn't sound exactly the same as the one I was experiencing though. I believe you need Nupoint 4.1 for that feature.

Make sure you add the SIP ip address network into the local networks of the MSL server running Nupoint

If the 1 way blocked is from Nupoint out, I give this high probability of resolving issue

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Yep as kwbMitel says check the Nupoint for the network. I assume the Nupoint is on the same subnet as the 3300 or some of the phones?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

The 3300 is set up to variable not fixed packet rate. The audio is one-way out of Nupoint, Nupoint receives no audio from the caller but the caller receives audio from Nupoint. The Nupoint is on the same subnet as the 3300 and the phones. We tried to set the SIP IP address in Nupoint but we can't figure out which IP Address Skype is using.
