confusing. One user tries to re-print an invoice and gets an error about a get/change operation on sop_hdr_hist --- user right next to her can run it just fine. Loging out of Dynamics, network and complete re-boot do not correct the problem --- so where is she stuck?

steps I would take

verify if it's a user or workstation problem
have bad user log into good user machine try out invoice

ok? re-install GP on bad machine

bad? delete user and recreate user and try again

and they wonder why they call it Great Pains!

ok - this has cropped up again (should really not say 'again' since actually I have found out it never went away - they just thought I was too busy - isn't that sweet) and I am even more confused today

Steps I have taken / more sauce for the goose:
1) User can NOT print invoices for GP Company A on any PC (everyone else in her department / group is fine)
2) I have deleted her GP ID & recreated - no change
3) in GP company B she found out that she CAN print invoices (ok, this one got me).

so this would lead me to believe that the install on her box is ok (GP 8, SQL 2k) as is the server. But the fact that she can print invoices from other companies would lead me to believe that it has something to do with data about her user ID in that company. SO I have done the check links (figured it was worth a shot) with no results

aside from telling one user to get someone else to print her invoices, anyone got any other ideas? I had even thought that it could be a temp file on her box, but then she should be able to print elsewhere. I am ready to wait for the upgrade to 9 in three weeks, but thought I would ask folks here again.

thanks in advance for your thoughts

one thing you can try is creating another userid for her (not using the same id as she has now)

It sounds more like a security setting to a modified report in company B for this user. Have you verified that they have access to the same modified reports in both companies?
