Had the system in the lab and everything was working great! I shutdown the system to transport it to the customer's site, plugged in the system and now the One-X Portal will not start.

I have tried it as ROOT via an SSH session, but nothing.

I have read on a couple of Avaya Support cases that they couldn't figure it out and asked the tech to uninstall/reinstall. So.. My question (due to expediency on trying to work with Avaya Support), how do I uninstall/reinstall this application on a Linux Application Server?

Thanks!

Go to the webpage and uninstall the RPM. Install it and configure.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Which webpage do I go to? I have looked at :7070, :7071 but nothing that I can see.

7071 and then go to updates. There you can uninstall 1XP package. Probably you have to uninstall Web collaboration package first because it depends on 1XP.

OK, thanks! Will be trying it this morning.

Did you ping the server in the lab? Can you ping the server in the field? That should be the first sign of an issue, did you make the appropriate changes to the IP if you're moving it into the field? If so, what? And If right, why can't you reach that port? Check switch routing tables if you have a semi extensive network. Connect a switch between the network port and the app server, connect your laptop to the switch and try to ping the IP.

What is the error you are getting when you attempt to start it?
Can you try 'service onexportal restart' from SSH (logged in as root).

onex startup logs are mostly in catalina.out file - somewhere in /opt/Avaya/oneXportal/9.1.*/apache-tomcat/logs folder..
they might provide some info if the service is not running
