PRI NI-2

The PRI was recently changed at this site. No issues previously

Troubleshooting steps
Only one phone is office has issue dialing out
Call is verified to reach PRI via ARS by CCS Trace
Call drops immediately during call setup
Extensions were swapped via MAC address problem remained with the original extention - (followed the mac address)
Outbound caller ID was replaced with working number problem remained
Programmed new user on new phone and swapped extension numbers (old phone/MAC not used) and problem temporarily went away but returned after a few hours
Internal calling and site to site calling over IP trunks are unaffected
system does not have SWA so no support

The only thing I can think to test is in an EDT command somewhere that will tell me which side is sedding the disconnect PRI or MCD. Does anyone know which command? Possible EDT Trace TCP L2L3?

Any other suggestions

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

I normally use EDT TRACE TSP L2L3 PLID

It will show if the disconnect was sent to the mitel (from the carrier) or from the Mitel

I'm pretty sure this is how it works

You could also try the below:

[tt]MN00136558 (2K) and MN00136186 (3300ICP) have added an optional indicator "<" or ">" in the first column of SMDR to show which party disconnected a trunk call.

The indicator overrides the long call indicator field (column 1) when enabled.
The indicator works for calls of 5 minutes or less per the dpar.

The command on the SX2000 maintenance terminal on either platform to enable/disable the indicator is:
lldcli smdr_disc [ on | off ].

Do not use brackets or pipes around "on" or "off" (see sample below).

When on, < or > will appear in the 1st position in the SMDR when the call is less than 5 minutes in length.

< indicates we, the pbx, cleared the call
> indicates the far end cleared the call.

This is released in LW34.2.5.2 (34.2.5.3) and 7.0.20.13 (7.0.21.4).
Sample commands & test call from 3300ICP's SX2000 interface:
lldcli smdr_disc on
-----> performed test call
lldcli smdr_disc off

SMDR will read similar to this:
08/16 02:30P 00:00:07 2002 002 2001 I 2001
>08/16 02:29P 00:00:07 2002 624700 A X999
LOGSYS info: READ completed for SMDR log with 2 entries.
Note the ">" symbol indicating that the call was disconnected by remote extension 4700 via IP trunks.

When the command to disable the indicator is entered, the < and > will no longer appear.
08/16 02:43P 00:00:07 2002 624700 A X999
08/16 02:30P 00:00:07 2002 002 2001 I 2001
>08/16 02:29P 00:00:07 2002 624700 A X999
LOGSYS warning: No more entries for SMDR log.
LOGSYS info: READ completed for SMDR log with 3 entries. [/tt]

When you say PRI was changed, was it the PRI card itself?
- If so, why? What happened to the old card?
- Is the firmware up to date on the new card?

Or do you mean changed PRI service/carrier?
- Are you outputting Display Name in the CoS? Perhaps the new carrier treats it differently?
- Tried a different TelDir name against the account?
- Is Direct Inward Dialing enabled on the trunk?
- Anything in ISDN Calling Party Outward Dialing Modification form?

As above, EDT TRACE TSP L2L3 would be useful in seeing when and where the clearance comes down also.
