Hi,

We are new to Domino/INotes and try to setup some persons having two email addresses arriving to the same person. THe addresses are on the same domain. Anyone can help us doing that ?

Is there anyway you can setup an automatic "ccc" to someone designed (usually person's boss) when sending mail ?

Thanks a lot

add the second address to the fullname field of the person's persondocument.

the address listed in the internet email adddress field is the one that email's being send from.

your second question can be done (of course) but it requires a little change to the user's mailfile(s)

Add the second name as an alias in the Shortname field in the Person Document.

Thanks for your help, having 2 emails for the same person works fine, but I still haven't found the way to ccc.

When sending mail, we use the Stationery functions to set up any consistently reoccuring needs such as a "cc" to the boss.
1. Start a new letter. Only fill in the areas that are to be repeated, which in this case is the "cc:" line.
2. Go to the Tools button (has an icon resembling a wrench in version 5), click on it and select "Save as Stationery".
3. Name the stationery.
4. Whenever you need to start a new memo with the "cc:" to the boss, start from your inbox but instead of the "New Memo" button, choose the "Tools" button, then "New Memo Using Stationery". Pick it by the name it was saved under and you are ready to go!

Alternatively, you can create an agent which searches the user's mail database for the desired messages (all sent, or all with the user's name in the "From" field), which upon finding such messages automatically performs @Mailsend to the designated other person (ie boss). This way, there is no way for the user to prevent the memo from being sent to the boss, and you can even (if it is a disciplinary issue) do so without the user's participation.
