If I have two NIC's, can I have one with a public ip, one with a public ip, and the ability to connect them together.

Basically I want to have internal pc's on the network go the private ip on the server and go out the public ip to the internet. Seems like a basic configuration for a network.

Any thoughts!?!?!?!

Internet Connection Sharing enabled on the public nic.

Usually the better choice is a broadband router.

What is your OS?

There are many NATP solutions that can easily do this.

Windows XP and 2k already have this kind of function.
With linux you can use ipchains or iptables.
And there are a lot of comercial softwares that do the same.

One package I have used is the Internet Gateway from Vicomsoft - Does all that is required to do what you want.
