If you can't get documentation on Nortel's site, I'll explain it briefly for you.
CCR Tree works like this:
The system plays your greeting and then it plays Path 0.....
So first record a greeting...("thanks for calling abc corporation")
Then go into CCR Admin and build a tree.
Start with Path 0. Path 0 is usually a menu, Record it as "press 1 for a, press 2 for b.., 3 for c, etc"
When you say press 1,2,3, etc on the home menu, then you will have a path 1,2, and 3 that you will need to build.
So if path 1 is to transfer to an extension, set up path 1 as XFER-INT (transfer internally to extension number). Do the same for 2, 3, etc.
(You also have the option to make these paths different things. You can XFER-EXT to transfer to an external number, you can LVMSG-sends a caller directly into a voicemail box, you can choose INFO, which just plays a recording that you record.)
If at any time you have something like "press 1 for the billing department", and billing has more than 1 person, then set 1 up as another "menu".
Record this new menu as "press 1 for bob in billing, press 2 for tom in billing")
You will then have a path 11 and 12 that you will need to set up. The paths are 11 and 23 because you first pressed 1 and then 1 or 2.
If your original path 2 was the billing department, then these new sub-paths would be 21 and 22 instead of 11 and 12.
Got it?
When your tree is built, remember to press end and save it.
Then go into your AA settings and tell the lines to answer with auto attendant. And turn on your CCR tree that you built.
If you just use these simple instructions and play around with it for a little bit, you will realize that there is nothing to setting up a CCR tree.
