Can anyone inform me how to make a one digit speedcall, i.e 1, immediately ring the actual number i.e 4000 as opposed to the 3 second or so delay.

System is a 3300.

Cheers

Cheers I'll try that out, I also just changed the system speedcall pause from 3 to 1 second in system options so will try that first.

The system speedcall pause is only used when you insert a P character into the actual number field.

Interdigit timer is the one you want.

There might be other solutions to your goal other than a 1 digit speedcall.

Your asking for a solution to a problem with your solution.

Maybe try asking how we would achieve your goal would be better.

Cheers justin, that makes sense as that didn't cure my problem, kwb I'm intrigued...do you know of a way I can have a single digit e.g 1 once pressed immediately ring 4000 (vmail). Cheers!

OK it's sorted now, found something else programmed as 1000 so the system was obviously waiting to see if the other 3 digits were coming, changed that so that my speedcall was the only thing on the system starting with 1 & it works, cheers for your help.

UKMitel,

What I was aiming at was using dummy ACD queues that allow dial out of Queue on single digits.

Callers would be greeted by a RAD giving them a menu to press whatever key.

This design does not conflict with existing DN's and greatly increases your flexibility.

If thats the way your trying to do it why not use a menu node with transfer mailboxes sine you will already be dialling the dummy path?

If you do a menu node and then transfer mailboxes, it will work, BUT you will be consuming voicemail licenses. ACD path will not be using licenses. Win Win!

Single digit mailboxs lead to conflict timers within the voicemail (not an improvement)

Single digit Speedcalls and Single digit Mailboxes need to be common for all applications.

Dummy ACD Queues with Dial out of queue allow dial 1 to go different places for each and are fully configurable and do not conflict and do not consume licenses.
