One call at a time - IPO and CM on H.323 Line

We have a networked a release 9 IPO with a CM 6.2 via H.323 and configuration was made by another Engineer but I checked the configuration and made some changes to it according to Avaya documentation "Application Notes for Configuring a H.323 IP Trunk between Avaya IP Office Release 4.0 and Avaya Communication Manager Release 4.0" since I couldn´t find a newer document.

Has anyone experienced this kind of issues that could lite my way?

How many channels are there configured on the IPO and the CM?

What do you have linking the two? I had a VERY similar issue using two Netgear routers with VPN enabled. If I recall, the signaling was getting hosed up.

Hi tlpeter - I have 10 channels in CM and 16 in IPO.


mforrence - attached config of ip-network-region, signaling group and trunk. May be you can notice something that I missed.

MAKE intra region ip to ip direct audio yes as well, also why 16 on one end and 10 on the other, make them the same, also what codec are you using going across the network?

After checking issue was at the carrier point at the IPO site. No long distance calls were permitted.
