I am looking for a way that I can have a user press one button and it transfers them to another extension. I have communication manager 6.3 on Avaya 6408D+ or 2420.

The current way is to pick up the call and then hit transfer>extension>transfer.

I was hoping there could be a vector string or something I could make that pushes people over to this extension with speed. I have a very good reason for needing this.

program a button for a busy indicator of the desired extension number, transfer hit button then transfer again

The problem i see is that there is no Feat code for transfer to employ in an autod type scenario

agreed, but he wants a single button push to execute the complete command

really too funny, sounds like a very lazy customer, I once was asked for a button that inserted a 9 for an outside line, omg what is wrong with some people lol I am sure with a button programmed to a vdn to vector with the right amount of pauses this may be achievable

amen, but without a feat code to dial for transfer it would still be necessary to hit transfer then the vdn. Looks like your best bet is answer, transfer, <busy-ind>, transfer

"inst-trans" button - Instant Transfer - 1 per station

An Instant Transfer button does an instant transfer by performing an immediate
unsupervised transfer to the button's administered destination. The Instant
Transfer button is intended for transfer to Polycom room systems, which are
capable of hosting a conference and auto-answering calls as well.
The Instant Transfer button is not limited to video set-types; however, it
may be useful on other set-types as well.
