On-Net Calling

Hi,

MiVB 8 with MBG as SIP Proxy. Trubks are SIP.

When trying to call from Mitel phone to another of my own DDIs over SIP Trunk I get an error.

Mitel Support says the outgoing and incoming calls have both the same Call ID and this confuses the MBG.

They suggest that I ask the service provider to issue a new Call ID for the incomming call.

This will not be that easy with the service provider. Do you think I can change something in the SIP Peer or MBG to resolve this?

add a loopback Ip trunk
route the own numbers up that and strip when they come back in to the extension
tromboning is never a good idea for a multitute of reasons

I haven't tried it, but I would think the loopback could come back into the DID Service for routing.
