On Inventory of library it show my blank media as Cleaning Media

When I inventory my barcode labeled media it has the correct label but initializes my media as Cleaning Media. I’m at a loss, I can't figure out why this is happening. Has anyone out there experienced a similar issue?

From what I can see in the service manual, this unit is almost identical to the "Quantum SuperLoader II" SDLT-II tape library. If that is the case, slot 8 in the left magazine is coded at the factory for use to hold a cleaning cartridge. This can be changed by using the setup portion of the library menu that is accessed through the front panel to move it to another slot or to delete it altogether (which is what i did). When it came time to clean it, I just did it through the mailslot.

I can't give you the exact path to access the option, but I do know it's there and hunting around won't hurt anything. But anyway, it is definitely in the library, not in Veritas.

I figured it out. I feel like an idiot but rebooting the library fixed the problem. My tapes now show up properly on Inventory and Erase. Thanks for the reply, I will keep that in mind for the future.
