New setup with 4 lines. I did #104 and and it's already setup for 4 lines. On my 14D phones (using different extension) I can press line 1 to 3 and get a dial tone. I don't get dial tone on line 4. But I can accept incomming call from all lines including 4.

My wiring is good. I switch line 1 and 4. (problem stays on line 4.) Still couldn't get a dialtone on line 4 but no problem with line 1.

Appreciate any info.

Back it up, default it, and try again. If line 4 works, reprogram from scratch. If not, put the line on 5, and see if it works. If so, program your phones with Line 1, 2, 3, 5 in a row, but you will need to get the processor replaced.

I have it backup using #124
How do I default it? DO I just remove the battery and power down. Power up with no PCMCIA card?

I'm not getting any caller ID. The CO said everything is good on there end. Any ideas?

You might want to read the documentation, the Installation, Programming, and Use Guide for the Partner. It is free for the download from support.avaya.com.

In regards to CID, you can check each line with a test set by monitoring the ringing line for the CID data burst between the first and second ring. If you don't hear it, then that would be an indicator that there is no CID on the line. If the data burst is there, then you may have a defective port on the Partner ACS.

What is a 14D set? I did not know Avaya had a 14 button display set...

If the processor is an R6 or older, you can use the idea you floated to default the processor. The R7 and R8 processors behave differently so that method won't work with them.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.
