On-Demand Sub Report (Crystal 8.5 - Accpac Advantage)

I have a Crystal report (Version 8.5) with an "on-demand" sub report that opens as a hyperlink when I preview the main report within Crystal. I can then drill the hyperlink to find the details of the sub-report. Just as explained in the user guide.

However, when accessing the same report via Accpac Advantage (Version 5.3) the report appears in the preview mode, with what looks like a hyperlink, but I cannot drill from this hyperlink (as in - it's dead)

I think the problem has to do with the way Accpac accesses/opens Crystal reports, but I'm not 100% sure.

Am I looking for something that is not ever going to work? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Neville

I'm not familiar with the Accpac application, but I've seen other applications that integrate with Crystal that don't activate all of the features of the Viewer component for whatever reason. I'd try to contact them to get a definitive answer, but my bet would be that they don't have the feature that allows drill-down turned on in their Viewer control.

Dave,

thanks for the information - I'll have one of our programmers look at it first, and they can perhaps follow-up with the software vendor
