went to an Avaya IPO406 v2 from a MICS. On internal calls you used to be able to tell if person you are calling was on the phone. Can the 5410 be programmed to do that.

If you set a "User" button on the handset for the person you are calling it will be underlined if they are busy, other than that it's busy tone/Voicemail. unless you use Phone Manager or One-X of course :)

I thought of that too, but there isn't room on a 5410 for 35 users

Buy a EU24 or use Phone Manager.

Or move all users into one big room so you can see if they have their handset to their ears. ;-)

True, but I have never found that to be a huge issue. Also fsoz you will need a spare server 2003 machine with 2GB Ram to use One-X, but it is one install as oppose to each user but is a little less responsive than Phone manager :)

I see phone manager lite doesn't require a license, can this be downloaded to try it out?

Sure can, what release of firmware is your IP Office on?

It uses the same license so the only costs are 1 recent desktop and a license os server 2003/8 which most it department have.
Why a desktop ? They are quicker then most servers with 1XP somehow.

Yeah, use the link Bas posted above. You may wish to consider upgrading the system to a latest 4.2 to cure issues you may have/may get in future :)

That not the latest, but try it don't think it will cause any problems. If you have som trouble then try to get the PM for that release or upgrade. 4.2.17 is rather old and has some bugs.

The system software can't be had for free, can it?
I've been out of the business for 6 years, used to install mostly ESI. Bought this system from a bankruptcy, first install on this platform.
