In an office with a server and several client computers, the Access 97 on ONE of the computers gives the following Illegal Operation error whenever you go into ANY Access db and try and open any form: 'MSAccess caused an invalid page fault in module OLEAUT32.DLL'. Uninstalling then reinstalling Access 97 did not help. Neither did replacing the 'OLEAUT32.DLL' file (through DOS) with one from another computer in the office on which Access works. Would reinstalling Office help? Thanks.

I think this is caused by an outdated OLEAUT32.DLL on your pc. I think someone else on this forum has experienced this. Maybe try a reinstall or see if you can get this dll from someone elses pc.

Thanks nickjar2, I have tried reinstalling Access and replacing the file with one copied from another computer, neither helped. Would it help to copy over (from an error-free computer) other OLE files that are in the same folder as 'OLEAU32.DLL' (aswell as file 'OLEAU32.DLL')?
