OLE/Inserted JPeg Print Resolution Conundrum!?!?!

Hey peeps,

Does anyone know why when I insert a JPeg, BMP or similar OLE, the resolution is fine on-screen but very blocky when printed out? - it's hardly viewable in fact.. I'm running AutoCAD 2000..

I've tried every manner of OLE Quality system variable options but nothing (even high quality photo) seems to work. No matter what printer I print on, the picture still comes out blocky - I'm trying to use a JPeg as a company logo, but even inserted as a bitmap or anything else, it's still just as bad.

Has anyone else had this problem and want to sit and empathise with? Alternatively, anyone who can point me in the right direction or know what's wrong then I'll be your best friend - he hee!!

Thanks in advance,

Renegade..

It sound like it may be a printer driver issue instead of an AutoCAD issue. You may trying a few different drivers for your printer and see if the results change. Good luck.

We have just started using the OLE linking in our office and have discovered that we have to select Line Art as the OLE plot quality. Anything else for us plots terrible.

Hi,

Thanks Arce2ee. I'll give it a whirl..

and some other boolean operation error...

Hi Byjar,

Yes I did get your program but I haven't had time to email you back. I can't get it to work as there's a conflict in the code (probably as I've got XP running) but as I don't know your password, so I can't edit the code.

I checked out the drawing for the pipe and could write a program for you but I just haven't had much time at all lately. Sorry mate, but I will get onto it and see what can be done.

Please email me the password for your program so I can get it to work..

Thanks mate..

By the way, what part of our glorious Earth do you live??

I'll email you soon..

Cheers,

Renegade..
