I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, but I can't find anything with a keyword search ... I'm moving my Outlook 2000 from Win98 to Win2K OS, what files are needed to get EVERYTHING moved successfully. I've built a the Win2K OS on a seperate HD for my laptop, so I'd like to put in the Win98 HD then burn one CD and get it over with quickly.
Thanks in advance.

Firstly You got to install Ms Outlook in the w2k machine.
Then in the old machine find a .pst file . This single file contains all of your emails and contacts etc..
Transfer it to the new machine and do a import of this pst and all your messages will appear.
regards
MP

Thanks MP - what about Rules ... I thought they were in another file.

In outlook, click Tools > Rules Wizard. Then in the box that opens, click 'options', then 'export rules'. save the file somewhere so you can move it to your new computer.
