Hi Old and/or guys, i looked in the FAQs and found what i need but the link you provided is dead.

I'm looking for a TV screen noise effect(as small, in file size, as possible since it will be used in an intro).

Thanks in advance. ;-)

p.s Worth a star..... Have Fun...

I'm looking for a .fla or tutorial on the television screen static effect.

Make your static in Photoshop - take a blank document, fill with white and apply a "noise" filter. Convert to grayscale and import into Flash as a JPEG.

Convert it to a symbol and then add it to four frames of a movie clip rotating it through 90 degrees each frame.

Looks like this...

The .fla is there too if you change the file extension. Slainte

Nice one Regards

Thanks Wang, will just be perfect.

I just have to find some kind of effect to reproduce the same as Photoshop(i'm using FireWorks).

Like i said earlier, it's worth a star... ;-) Have Fun...

Wangbar, what fps do you create your movies at? I have just replicated this fx but yours looks a lot faster than mine.

Anyway, excellent tip. Another star for you.

Cheers Rod - I typically set my framerate to 35fps. Most PCs can handle that and it gives a really smooth flow plus it gets over the problem that Macs (pre Flash MX) had with movie frame rates under 30fps running slow. Slainte

That's excellent! I was always told 16 fps was the most you should do for the web. I always wanted to go higher, 35 fps sounds more like it.....

BTW, You've got some really cool things on your site. I got 610 at SmallJapaneseSoldier, not much I know but I am supposed to be working.

Check again in a few days 'cos I've got to update it at the weekend and there's another, more complete, game going in there with a very British sense of humour ;-) Slainte

Excellent, I shall keep an eye out.:)

Wangbar, thanks again mate. This simple FX you put up of the static tv screen has just kick started a wicked personal project.

Thanks again....

I'll post a link when I've done some more to it.
