Older version of the management protocol?

I have attempted to remotely install the SAV 10 client to all workstations on the network from a Win03 server and get this error that I am unfamiliar with.
"The selected server uses an older version of the management protocol that is no longer supported for managing clients".
Questions, what version should I be using that is supported, and how do I determine what version of the management protocol I have?
