Old Wyse terminal won't connect to 4.5 farm

I just tested an old Wyse 3360SE and a 3125SE(CE) in preparation for my upgrade from PS 4.0 to 4.5. They connect without problem to the production 4.0 farm but won't connect to the 4.5 test farm. They both have the latest firmware. Newer Wyse terminals have no problems.

We had similar issues back when we upgraded from 3.X to 4.0 with old machines and had to upgrade them.

Can anybody confirm that this model of Wyse is a problem with 4.5?

It looks like those devices do connect to the new 4.5 Citrix farm.

I would just make sure that the ICA settings are set properly (make sure the DC is specified in the connection manager)and make sure you aren't using session reliability in your farm because that changes the ICA port number from 1494.

I didn't know we actually have support with Wyse. I called them and found out that we need to be running CE version 5.0 or better to be supported on PS 4.5. I think we have a significant number of machines out there that won't be up to snuff and we don't have a full inventory which is a different nightmare but I won't get into that here.

The default setting in PS4.5 is to not allow older than ver. 8 ICA clients.You have to uncheck that setting or at least update the ICA client on the Winterm.
If you have a real old Winterm, then the ICA version will probably be a 6.

Until the group reponsible for keeping an inventory of our thin clients can come up with an accurate listing I can't do a thing anyway.

I'll keep what you said in mind when the time comes though.
