Old Software Needed!!!!

Greetings,

I am looking for IPO admin software 2.1(35) or higher but still in 2.? range. Avaya no longer has it on their website. Do one of you have or know of an ftp site that would have this version of Admin?

You can use manager 3.0 to manage 2.x releases

Omer, Good to hear from you. I have 3.058 admin. I have it loaded. I can not get it to find the unit I want to upgrade . Can I copy the bins from 3.058 to another version? What's the trick. Admin goes to discover to find the unit and nothing happens. In later versions you can enter the ip address of the unit as you know. Am i doing something wrong?

I will check in the morning. I have been running 3.2(61) no problem on the same machine. I unloaded 3.2, rebooted and loaded 3.0(58). Everything loaded fine. Opened manager and then the problem of not seeing any IP offices.

Um no you can't...

The backwards compatability for managers was only introduced at version 3.2. You run the risk of config corruption by using a3.0 manager on a version 2.1 system

The DT 580 version is in fact a high 2.1 DT version with trial licence facilities. I'd be very wary of managing a low end 2.1 version with it.


but the blanket statement of "You can use manager 3.0 to manage 2.1" is plain wrong

3.0DT is no problem with V2.1
(the only thing that changed was the version string! - IIRC trial licences were also supported in V2.1

The current releases or manager are *Supposed* to be backwards compatible to V2.1 unfortunately Avaya have broken system discovery in the manager app & currently it will not detect these systems (V4.2 is the lowest I have connected to with V9.1 so far)

Managers V3.2 to V9.0 all work fine with V2.1 upwards

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Greetings. I have 3.0(58) loaded and plugged directly into IPO. It found the unit and i started the upgrade wizard. When I right-clicked to choose the bin, it is showing all 403 bin software. Can I use that. 403 2.99 is there. Was the software the same for both unit ten years ago?
