I have an old polling server that has to dial 9 to get an outside line. We dial 8. I'd like to know is there a way to get this to work without creating another customer in my switch.
OPT 81C, Rls 5.0

Do you have both AC1 and AC2 set up in your system? If not, you could set up AC2 as 9.

This is what I have:
AC1 INTL NPA SPN NXX LOC
AC2

No conflicts with 9. I can change this in LD 15 correct?

I have AC2 in LD 86 as 9
I added INTL NPA SPN NXX LOC for AC2 in LD 15, NET.
I no longer get "reorder" when I dail 9 from my desk but calls are not going out.
I am missing something, right?

You need to program your NPAs, NXXs, and SPNs under AC2. At least the ones your old polling server needs to be able to dial.

Thanks. I just printed out all AC1's NPA's and looks like I have some programing to do.

Thanks again! I did add my Npa and called myself and rang my desk.

Now that I get this to work when someone dials a 9, how can I make it so only the TN's that I choose can have access to the 9?

Let me guess - you switched to 8 because of 911 misdials? In your release you have 911 misdial prevention.

The best way to do what you want is to use Pretranslation. With pretranslation you don't have to waste the digit 8 in your dialing plan for the sake of one phone. It will also save you having to duplicate and maintain BARS tables for both AC1 and AC2.

Can your polling server it be set to dial without an access code? If it can then you can use Gene's guide -
If the server program always wants to dial 9 then you can still use the same guide but with a small change. Following Gene's example, the SCL 92 would look more like this:

SCNO 0092 (or the list number you created)
