Hi,
I have McAfee Visrusscan installed on my PC (W98SE) and have the latest DAT files downloaded and installed.
After this I created an emergency disk for use on another (possibly infected) PC, but when I scanned the PC I found out that the virus definition files were out of date (2001).
How is this possible? Is this a known issue/bug? How do I get an emergency disk with the latest virus files included?
Thanks in advance.

Hi

The emergency disk only contains a smaller DAT needed to scan Boot Sector and memory.

McAfee will release a new tool called CleanBoot
With this utility you can create a bootable CD with the lates DAT and engine since no diskette can hold a full DAT and engine.
