I am hoping that Pandabear1 ( I saw an old thread where you had addressed the issue of verifies)
might be able to help me find some information pertaining to an old Centigram VM. The system hasn't had any kind of verify run in quite some time. Probably years. I am over 2 hours away from the site and would like to run an OFFLINE verify remotely.
Is that possible and if so, what are the steps? It's been years since I have touched a Centigram and I do not want to make things worse by locking up their system.
I should add...this is just a maintenance thing that I would like to start doing. The system is currently running fine.

Don't you just request a system shutdown and then follow the prompts to perform system verification?

Afterwards use the reboot command.

Running the off-line verify on the older releases remotely is very dangerous. The i/o ports will shut down and you will ot be able to restart the server.

What model and software level is on the Centigram system?
Prior to release 7 I would not attempt remotely.

I just ran the online verify remotely and it worked fine.
Thanks for the information and input from everyone.

Hey pandabear1...
have you ever worked with the Centigram CallAgent?
I ask because this site has some callboxes and I do not
remember exactly how to get to the CallAgent area.
It seems as though it was
(s) for system maintenance
then
(o) for additional options
then
(c) for choose terminal type

but then I cannot remember what choice to make there.

If you have that info or access to the CallAgent
manual to look it up...I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks.

you must set the terminal type to VT100 to access call agent. after you set it exit the system and log on again then select "C" for call agent configuration. After you finsh remember to set terminal type back.

Thanks. I thought that sounded right but, I couldn't
remember for sure.
Isn't there a place for some type of a CallAgent login?
It seems like there was a default that was something like 9999 or 998?
Does any of that sound familiar?

yes, once you change your terminal type and select CallAgent from the menu, you need to log in. I think 998 is the default admin account (no docs in front of me, this is from memory), and 0 is usually the default passcode.
