Don't know if anyone can help me but I have a friend who wants to install an old ATI All-in-Wonder Pro card that they have in their computer under Windows XP. ATI did not make drivers for this card for XP. Does anyone know how to get it to work in XP so they can watch TV on their computer? Do you know of any 3rd party drivers that might work?

Thanks for any help you can give

XP is a driver-loaded system, install the video card, boot the system up, and see if Windows will find and install an acceptable driver- bet it works.

Thanks for replying. XP will install the driver to use the card as a display card, but they want to use the TV part of the card to watch TV on their monitor. The drivers from ATI for the TV IN/OUT work under Win 9x & ME but not under XP. Just wondered if anyone new of any 3rd party drivers to get the TV part working. I know it is an old card, I have explained that to the person, sigh, but you know what some people who are not too computer literate can be like.
Thanks

I just set up an 8mb all-in-wonder and you need three files. They are at ATI's site,

ati-util-may2003
MMC72noDVD
wxp-j5-30-1-b02

Just search for them. Mine's working.

Thanks gpunch for replying. So by getting those 3 files, you got the TV portion of the card to work under XP? That would be wonderful, no pun intended!

Yes,
I just recorded some home video last night. Just go to punchard.com and send a request and I can shoot those over to you.

Hey

I had an ATI AIW Radeon 32MB PCI running under XP just fine and dandy.

Download the Device Drivers, install but DONT reboot. Download the Control Panel, then reboot.
Download the MMC and reboot.

Should be working a treat.

howdy,

I'm new to this forum.
I have the 4 meg version of all in wonder pro.
It works fine in XP ..however ..no TV I followed the instruction above to no avail.
"TV" software hangs on the splash screen then I have to re-boot to get rid of it. TV does say 7.1 however I downloaded MMC 7.2??

Any help would be great.

Cheers, Matt
