Well, I new this was coming sooner or later....the old dog wont backup anymore to the floppy on either sides.

RLS 24.25

Can anyone give me any suggestions? I was hoping to switch over to the other side and it would work but no go on either side.

Here are the errors:

I Know its sound obvious, but have you tried new Floppy Disks, when ever I've had problems backing up on a 'Big' system its always turned out to be the floppies at fault.

Gotta agree with Moss, put a new floppy diskette in and try it.

Thanks,

Buddy

I had a similar problem that was resolved by reloading the system. CS1KM SG on Rls 4.5. If the floppies are not the issue, you might try it.

Last time I had the issue and changing to a new diskette didn't help I ended up having to put in new CMDU cards, good experience when you haven't done it in a while

Thanks,

Buddy

Just check the net for 2 NEW 1.44 floppy drives. Buy them and change them out. You'll be so happy you did this. 4 screws, 2 plugs and you're done. Be sure to buy a box of 1.44 floppies while you're at it.
Not sure if you can get this done? Call your local vendor and give him (or her) something to do.

I have manually reset the CMDU before cost nothing to try

I recently replaced a bad IOP/CMDU on a smilar switch and software release. I would try splitting the cores, disabling the offline side CMDU and re-seating it. If it works, do the same for the other side. I ended up having a bad hard drive, originally neither side would back up. One came back after the re-seating it, one I had to replace.

Both floppy disks were toast! Thx to everyone who replied.

I love this forum !!!
