I was just trying to setup a simple TFTP from my PC
I setup a mini hub (netgear)gave three systems 192.168.42.xx
I cannot ping my laptop .25 from the other two systems .5 &. 4. I can ping the other 2 system from my laptop tho.
My win firewall is off. My wireless is off what am I missing?
I'm not sure what changed.

I notice if I do a ping -t the other devices they can ping My laptop during a reboot( I do get a no reply while it cycles for a short moment) and will continue to ping until I log into my laptop.

any help much appreciated

It's only dialtone!!!

Do you have anything else installed that might include a firewall?

I once had this issue and found a Cisco VPN client that included a firewall that got turned on. Turned it off and all was well.

hmmmm you could be on to something Indiana. I do have a Fortinet VPN client which also has some sort of firewall antivirus garbage.

Ill take a look at that.

I stand corrected . It does eventually time out on a ping after a bootup
I tried clearing the arp cache also

thx

It's only dialtone!!!
