SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEEEAASE!!!@??
I keep getting this error message on my remote server. Its running Backup Exec for Netware v.9.0. I am open to any suggestions...
-----------------------------------------------------
The Open File Option could not find the virtual volume for the mount. Backup Exec will attempt to perform the backup without the Open File Option and use your normal backup option settings.

It looks, to me, like you are trying to backup a file on a remote system. If so, you also need the remote agent or whatever it's called in BE9. The OFO is only for backing up files while they are being used.

I have BackupExec remote agent & OFO installed on my remote servers. Its been working fine all along..and all of a sudden i started to get this message. So to me, it seems like some sort of buffer issue that may need to be increased or something.

I had this issue before and am just trying to remember why it was. Is your OFO file size to small or corrupted or possibly on a volume that is full? Sounds like it can't find the OFO file.

or check with Veritas, I may have had to download some files for the fix. Sorry I can't remember more, but maybe it will give you some lead.....

I am new to backup exec, we are just implementing it. I had the same message when a scheduled backup ran. Turned out the agent on the remote server got messed up. I rebooted the remote server everything has been fine since.
