Offline folders sync problem

I am having a speed problem synching offline folders. I am using W2K server to synch with W2K Pro and Win XP Pro. We have a 100MB network and it took 35 mins to sync a 50MB folder. I believe this is far too long. A normal file transfer over the network took just over 2 mins for the same folder.

Initially it seems to hang for a long time and the blue status bar doesn't even appear. Then all of a sudden it bursts into life and the sync is how you'd expect it to be.

Anyone got any ideas?

Are there any msaccess databases in the folder you are working with? If so try removing them and then sync again. the sync process is unable to sync access databases and that could be part of your problem.
