I was given an HP OfficeJet 7310 with a power module and it doesn't power up. The power module lights up like it works, however, when I was searching for a new power module just to see what they cost, this is what I found out...
The power module that I was given, is a genuine HP 0950-4340, but according to all documentation I can find this is for an OfficeJet 6100, a 410 Printer, or a Photosmart 7550 printer. Also, I don't know what "mA" number means, but this power module says "1450mA" on it.
After researching what the correct power module is for the OfficeJet 7310, I found that it's a 0950-4484 and the #'s are 2420mA (and 75watt).
So my question is this...Is the mA thing a power level measurement like Amps, Watts, or something similar and could the 0950-4340 power supply that I received with the printer possibly/simply not have enough juice to run the OfficeJet 7310? And if so, I'm thinking it could be worth the small investment to get the correct power supply to see if the 7310 will actually power up and work since it appears to be in great condition.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
