Hi,

I am using an application that opens MSWord as the word for writing letters, and in this application's Setup Options it allows me to browse for my word processor app of choice.

Previously I had my shell path set to c:\Program Files\ Microsoft Office\ winword.exe (or similar).

However, since upgrading to Office XP, I can no longer find winword.exe.

Please can anyone tell me where to look!!!

- Andy.

The Find function on the Start menu isn't producing any results?

Try
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\winword.exe

Did you do a search for it through windows explorer?

If you have a shortcut that works, right-click it and check the properties on the shortcut tab.

Go into windows explorer--Tools-Folder options, view tab and make sure the settings aren't hidding anything. Show hidden and system files... Then try your search again. Anne Troy

Hi,

If you right-click on the Word shortcut and do Properties, on my machine at least the Target is greyed-out and simply says "Microsoft Office XP Professional" instead of a folder and EXE name.

However, you are absolutely right, it does exist in the Office10 folder, I must be blind!

Thanks,

- Andy.
