Hi

I have an Access 2010 database which uses VBA to select and save emails from my Outlook 2007 inbox as files in a folder. The database also creates and sends emails via Outlook. This works well with my current Outlook 2007 setup but we are currently being upgraded to Office 365. Is it possible to use VBA to work with and create e-mails in Outlook 365?

Thanks

Alan

What version of Office 365?

If you have a subscription that gives you the desktop versions of Outlook and other office applications, then it will continue to work fine. (Assuming you are accessing the local install of Outlook with VBA via Access)

If however, you have the cloud only (web based) version then it will no longer work and you will have to re-write the functionality to use the Office 365 API
Not sure how this is done, whether the hosted cloud exchange is still part of the corporate domain so windows authentication will work or how you would manage user credentials and 365 cloud interaction.

Perhaps you can host the Access app in the cloud and easily integrate with the 365 office environment?

If you find out how, come let us know!

Many thanks for this. I will check to see what versions we are getting installed.
