Office 2k3 hyperlinks to PDFs 1

Hello all,

Running Office 2k3 on win XP SP2 with Acrobat 7.0. No matter which Office product you use if you create a hyperlink to a PDF file the link will not actually work. Acrobat opens and closes immediately after the link is clicked and the document linked to doesn't open. While this is a problem first identified in Excel its the same in all Office programs. Has anyone else come across this and if so have you found a fix? Hyperlinks to anything else works.

Hi there

Same environment here with Adobe Reader 7.0.3, hyperlinks from Word to locally stored PDFs work fine.

If you open a .PDF in explorer does it open OK in Adobe Reader 7.0? Is your reader patched up to date?

Updated to latest version and it all now works. Thats the problem with having a standard PC build that isn't patched I suppose.
