Office 2000 Registry Problem

I have installed Office 2000(SR1)onto my NT 4.0 (sp6a)PC, and every time I try to run an Office app. I get a Missing registry information error and the application closes.

I have tried all the MS Knowledgebase suggestions with no luck.

Can anybody help ?

Reregister the applications that are causing errors. The details of doing Word and Excel are listed in the following FAQs:

faq68-1371 : Excel
faq68-1269 : Word

The other option is to remove Office and reinstall.

Also make sure you have all the SR packs (I think 2000 has SR2 as well).

I have tried all the SPs and reinstall (using the reg. deletes) all with no success; the app. I want to use the most is Access.

Try using the /y switch to re-register Access. See if that works - I'll keep checking on this - its a wierd one.
