I'm trying to install Office 2000 in drive d (I have partitioned my drives and d is the one I've created space to house Office) - however, when I specify this path to install to, it reverts back to c (which lacks the space). I created a folder in d: and copied the files from the CD into d: and tried running setup from there but it's still reverting back to c:. How do I prevent setup from doing this?
Thanks.

When you set up Office 2000 to install on the D drive, it will still install about 35Mb of files on the C drive. Also, check and see which drive is set up with your temp directory. If this is set up on the C drive it will also give you an out of disk space error.

Can I create a WINDOWS/TEMP directory in D: as well to take care of this?

you need to change the location of the temp folder.

depends on the OS as to how to do it.
