Office 2000 install / upgrade

I am about to install Office 2K on a machine that has Office97. Office97 is on the default location of c:\.<br>
There is not enough space to install Office 2K on c therefore I must install Office 2K on the 'd' drive.<br>

Will Office 2K be smart enough to upgrade the office97 or will Office 2K not find Office 97 since it is on a different drive?<br>

Im not sure but if you want to make a upgrade you need to install Office 2k at the same place of Office 97. But im not sure if you install 2k in other drive is upgrade 97. The best of you say to you is try it!!!
