office 2000 apps shut down 1

New problem. Nothing new installed or config changes. Any app I open in the Office 2k Premium suite shuts down after about 5 seconds. Anybody seen this yet? Let me know. Thanks. Patched with SR-1, but this was occuring before that.

How much memory do you have?&nbsp;&nbsp;We had a problem running W2000 programs with 1Gb memory.&nbsp;&nbsp;Remove some memory and hey presto - everything works again.&nbsp;&nbsp;May not be the ideal solution for you, but if you're not really using it then it's fine. <p>Katherine Macey<br><a href=mailto:kmacey@mednet.ucla.edu>kmacey@mednet.ucla.edu</a><br><a href= > </a><br>

Actually ended up uninstalling & reinstalling Office 2K and everything was fine. May try the SR-1 patch again. Thanks.

I've had good luck with Office2000 Premium except Access brings up a system error message and then the infamous illegal operation flag and presto, it shuts down.&nbsp;&nbsp;I have over 90 meg of ram and a PII system.

I had the EXACT same problem with office 2k but it only started happening after I installed SR-1. I just uninstalled and re-installed office and it was fine. Haven't tried re-installing SR-1 though.
