I'm trying to install Office 2000 and during the intallation process a message appears saying that there are protected files and that I need to insert the XP Prof. CD. As I do not have this I'm a bit stuck. I've got Word 2002 already installed and MS Works. Any ideas.
Thanks.

The XP pro cd is most likely the office xp pro cd. If you have work 2002, that is xp. Maybe try to uninstall word xp and just install all office 2000.

I've tried uninstalling Word 2002 but the message comes back. An it is definetly asking for the XP Professional CD and not Office XP.
