I would like to connect 10-12 digital sets in another building approx. 200 feet away on an Option 11. The simplest method would be to place a copper cable underground but it is paved parking lot and fairly expensive to dig up.

There is several single mode fiber available.

There also maybe 2 copper pairs as there is one digital set working at the opx location now.

Would the "mini cabinet" work going through multi-mode fiber converters?

Citel now huh? Geez, I remember them way back when they were MCK Communications, then DTI, then a few others.

They made that cool little 2616 emulation box that you could call and read back the Caller ID and ring back to check analog sets. Seems they are the 'foster child' that can never find a permanent home.

They do make good stuff though.

thanks, I was hoping there was an alternate solution.

There are several products so hopefully one of them will work for us. I'm hoping they have on line documentation for each device.

i've used fiber to t1 to run a mini-carrier remote without a problem.. you could look at an ip remote as well..

I use the MCK boxes at several of my locations and they work great. You could use their E6000-SNM12 at the PBX end and their E6000-RNM12 at the remote location - this will give you the capacity fot 12 extensions.

Can you use the Fiber expansion cab with the NTDK79 & NTDK80 (3km, singlemode).
