we have multiple lines set up as SCR on a 3904 with a LHK of 2. This way when on a call, a new call to that line will hunt up on the keys to the next available line. When this happens, the user hears the "Buzz" and sees the flashing icon on the line. Is it possible to turn the buzz off completely? We have tried changing the volume, RNGI, RNGB. The user doesn't want the buzzer or a ring while on another line. Is this even possible?

thanks.

fita gives repeated buzz when off hook

for no ring change the key scn xxxx or mcn xxxx or take it off the phone

unfortunately an SCN is not an option. all three lines are servicable lines and need to ring, just not when he is on the phone. I know how it sounds and he would probably want the damn thing to get him coffee, too, if he thought hard enough about it. but from my research in the NTPs it doesn't look possible. thanks for replying, all the same.

Would delayed ringing on the SCN work for him?

i don't know of a solution for that.. if he is using lhk.. then line 1 should never get a call unless he is on line one.. so scn would not matter.. i would offer scn or a single buzz, cls fitd..
