Decided to start builing our own PC's in house. Anyone know of good deals on OEM OS's and Office applications? Or licenses only as we have 30 copies of everything already.

Thanks,

Patty [ponytails2]

For an Office suite, look no further than OpenOffice.org. 99% compatible with MS Office, and 100% free. Version 2, due in about one month, has major enhancements over the current version.

And there's loads of other really good open-source applications out there. has a compilation of some of the best.

Tonygroves is right on with the openoffice suite, can even import from and export to m\soft office or convert office dosc to openoffice, i believe. One of the best free progs on the market!

Good advice + great people = tek-tips

Thanks for the suggestions, I will definetly check out OpenOffice and zipzoomfly.com.

Appreciate it,

Go to pricewatch.com & look up windows xp oem. Then you should also see the listing for just the license & it's is about 50 bucks. Then you can make your own copys of xp & all you need to buy is the license for each copy.
