Odd Sip Issue on IP 500, STUN timeouts on incoming calls

Just seting up our own Avaya IP 500 in the office, its running v11 software and its all the new J100 range, 139's 179's etc. If we turn off STUN on the SIP transport the line drops after a while but incoming and outgoing calls are fiune until it does. If we turn STUN on then the line stays up using the full cone NAT it discovers but incoming calls ring on the handsets and we can answer but the callers still hear it ringing.. it never connects, and if we clear the call it does drop thier ringing. On a trace this issue is a STUN error as follows StunClient: ResponseTimeout in Resolve RTP

Can I disbale stun on the internal handsets or is there something else I should be looking at to keep the line up without STUN?
