Can one write a program in VB 2005 to work on a cell phone or blackberry or whatever that can except data through bluetooth. Or maybe a text message? Or ???
I want to create an application for stores to be able to download in a customers device, sales or data going on at that time in that store. So it would show up on a list or something.

Any ideas welcomed

You can't write an app in VB that runs on the average cell phone. It would have to be a Windows Mobile or Windows CE enabled device for that to work.

You can try this link for cell phones: (I don't personally know much about it, but you can try)

Also, Bluetooth's max range is generally about 30 feet and I've always found them a bit of a pain to setup.

You might have better luck marketing this functionality to people who carry PDA'a with wireless capability anyway. I might even bite on an application that had a stripped down categorized product database with sale/promotional prices for a Pocket PC that allowed me to create a shopping list. (and maybe even order the list by how people walk through the store) I'm Lazy! LOL! -- Then allow them to sync the data in-store wirelessly or online via a webservice.
